provided by a Davis Vantage Pro 1 Weather Station, Davis WeatherLink hardware & software interface, and multiple third party
software running simultaneously through the use
of VirtualVP .
To improve reliability of data recording and web
uploads
from the weather station and associated software I use StartWatch.
This
Davis weather station was installed March 2002 as a replacement for a
15 year old Heath Kit. The wireless ISS (Integrated
Sensor Suite) which
includes the temperature sensor, standard radiation
shield, humidity sensor, and heated rain guage is mounted
approx.
six feet above the lawn
in full sun to allow solar battery charging. The anemometer is mounted
approx. 25 feet above ground with minimal surrounding wind
obstructions. I
purchased the WeatherLink software and began
weather data uploads to this website and Weather Underground.com in July 2003. I have since
added data uploads to CWOP in February 2005, Weather for You.com January 2006, and
AWEKAS.at February 2006 and Midwestern Weather Network May 2008. |
